Brown & Brown in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Personal Lines Client Account Manager to service an assigned book of business, identify exposures, and advise on insurance solutions. You will handle inquiries via phone, email, or in person from policyholders and carriers, ensuring accurate quotes and comprehensive coverage.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, cross-selling within the firm, and maintaining high standards of confidentiality and service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of agency management systems
• Exceptional telephone demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar position

Responsibilities

• Write all new business policies
• Maintain and service all renewal policies
• Assist insureds with all service needs (questions, changes, cancellations)
• Identify competitive carriers for remarketing existing business
• Account round existing clients and cross-sell other departments
• Ensure all quotes are accurate and complete prior to being proposed
• Develop and maintain client relationships to identify changing needs in account coverage
• Actively seek out new business referrals from current clients, friends, family, teammates
• Responsible for documentation control (scanned, paper, electronic, verbal)
• Knowledge of Quality Control Compliance standards for department
• Maintain a commitment to personal and professional growth and development
