Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its personal injury team. The firm advocates for injured individuals across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Texas, with a client-first approach and hands-on case management.

This role offers collaboration with a seasoned legal team in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment. The position is fully onsite at their Maryland and Virginia offices, requiring strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and comfort working

Qualifications

• 4+ years of personal injury paralegal experience.
• Experience handling cases during the pre-litigation and/or litigation stages.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients throughout the life of a case.
• Proficiency with legal case-management software and technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Maintain case files, medical records, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
• Request and review medical records, bills, police reports, and insurance information.
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Draft legal correspondence, discovery responses, pleadings, and settlement-related documents.
• Track deadlines, court dates, treatment progress, and case developments.
• Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with negotiations.
• Provide attorneys with administrative and litigation support as needed.
