Job summary

Taylor Root, a growing personal injury law firm, seeks an experienced paralegal to support attorneys from intake through settlement or litigation. The role emphasizes staying organized across multiple cases and maintaining comprehensive documentation in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment.

You will interact directly with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings and settlement documents while coordinating deadlines and case progress with the legal team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of personal injury paralegal experience.
• Experience handling pre-litigation and/or litigation matters.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple active matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working directly with clients.
• Proficiency with legal case-management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Maintain case files, medical records, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
• Request and review medical records, bills, police reports, and insurance information.
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Draft legal correspondence, discovery responses, pleadings, and settlement-related documents.
• Track deadlines, court dates, treatment progress, and case developments.
• Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with negotiations.
• Provide attorneys with administrative and litigation support as needed.

The firm represents injured individuals across Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Texas and is known for its client-first approach and hands-on case management. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation
• Maintain case files, medical records, correspondence, and supporting documentation

Requirements
