Job summary

Prevail Recruiting in Northwest Houston (Houston Heights area) seeks an experienced paralegal to join a plaintiff-side personal injury litigation team. You will work directly with attorneys on cases from intake through resolution, owning files and gaining room to grow in a collaborative, client-first firm.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, managing discovery, organizing medical records, and coordinating with clients, providers, insurers, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• Litigation experience in plaintiff-side matters.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus.
• Strong medical records review and damages documentation skills.
• Proficiency with case management software (Filevine, Clio, Litify, CASEpeer, or similar).

• Manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigation matters from intake through settlement or trial.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and client correspondence.
• Gather, review, and organize medical records and bills for demand packages.
• Stay in regular contact with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Calendar and track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and court dates.
• Schedule and prepare for depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks.
• Support lien resolution, settlement statements, and case closing.

An established plaintiff’s personal injury firm, is looking for an experienced paralegal to join its litigation team. The firm advocates for individuals and families injured by negligence and is known for its client-first approach, strong results, and a supportive, collaborative culture.

You’ll work directly with attorneys on cases from intake through resolution, with real ownership of your files and room to grow.

• Manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigation matters from intake through settlement or trial
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and client correspondence
• Gather, review, and organize medical records and bills for demand packages
• Stay in regular contact with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Calendar and track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and court dates
• Schedule and prepare for depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks

Qualifications

• 5-12+ years of paralegal experience in plaintiff-side personal injury (comp is tiered based on tenure)
• Litigation experience, including discovery and trial prep
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a huge plus
• Strong medical records review and damages documentation skills
• Working knowledge of [State] court rules and e-filing
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a compassionate approach with clients
• Proficiency with case management software (Filevine, Clio, Litify, CASEpeer, or similar)
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
