Job summary

DeMayo Law Offices seeks an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to communicate with clients, monitor medical treatment, and move cases efficiently. The role involves handling insurance communications, gathering records, and preparing demand packages for attorney review.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in plaintiff's PI paralegal work, strong organization, and excellent communication. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; Bachelor's degree preferred and paralegal certification valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; however, a combination of education, certifications and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling plaintiff's personal injury cases as a paralegal required
• Paralegal certification or associate degree in Paralegal Studies strongly preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work to ensure job responsibilities are completed
• Outstanding communication skills & the ability to quickly build rapport with your assigned clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and attorneys
• Strong understanding of insurance coverages required
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicating with clients to keep them updated on the progress of their case and documenting all conversations
• Providing accurate and consistent information to clients regarding possible issues with gaps in treatment, over and under-treatment, etc.
• Managing client cases to include identifying and confirming insurance coverages, communication with adjusters, obtaining medical records and bills, confirming client information, lost wages, health insurance, etc., and making medical referrals as needed
• Summarizing medical records
• Preparing demand package for attorney review prior to submission to the insurance company
• Handling a high volume of cases, ensuring cases move through the process in a timely manner, while ensuring exceptional client service

This key position is the primary contact with our clients and critical to ensuring the best possible outcome for the clients.
