Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm in Wisconsin seeks a driven Litigation Attorney to advance cases through trial, with a commitment to client-centered advocacy. You will handle personal injury and motor vehicle litigation, develop case strategy, and advocate for clients through settlement or trial.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin State Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred; PI/plaintiff a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining client care.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage litigation cases: personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases through litigation, settlement, or trial.
• Develop case strategy: evaluate liability, damages, value and strategy per client.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery; take/defend depositions, attend mediations/hearings.
• Prepare for trial: prep witnesses, work with experts, participate in trial proceedings.
• Advocate for clients: communicate with clients, guide them through litigation, negotiate with insurers.
• Teamwork: collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and experts to move cases forward.

What You Will Do

Manage litigation cases: Handle personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases from litigation through settlement, trial, or other resolution.

Develop case strategy: Evaluate liability, damages, case value, and litigation strategy tailored to each client.

Handle litigation: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents; take and defend depositions and attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Prepare for trial: Prepare witnesses and exhibits, work with experts, and participate in trial proceedings as appropriate.

Advocate for clients: Communicate regularly with clients, guide them through the litigation process, and negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.

Work with the team: Work closely with legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and experts to move cases forward efficiently.

What You Bring to the Table

• Active Wisconsin State Bar membership in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred; personal injury or plaintiff litigation experience is a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and client care.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
