Job description

As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the attorneys by handling a variety of tasks related to personal injury cases. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in personal injury law, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a temporary and full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all phases of personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial matters.
2. Draft, prepare, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
3. Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
4. Coordinate and assist with the discovery process, including gathering and organizing evidence, conducting document reviews, and drafting discovery requests.
5. Prepare and summarize medical records, police reports, and other case-related documents.
6. Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial.
7. Communicate with clients, medical providers, and experts to obtain case-related information.
8. Prepare exhibits and trial binders for hearings and trials.
9. Handle administrative tasks such as calendaring deadlines, scheduling appointments, and filing documents.

Qualifications:

1. Paralegal certificate or equivalent education/experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal.
3. Strong understanding of personal injury litigation processes and procedures.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
7. Proficient in case management software, Microsoft Office, and legal research tools.
