Job summary

Socket.dev in San Diego seeks a Personal Injury Case Manager to guide injured clients through a stressful process, keep cases organized, and move them toward settlement. You will be the steady, empathetic point of contact from intake through resolution.

You will track deadlines, coordinate medical treatment, manage records and insurance, and keep attorneys aligned. A customer-service mindset, strong organization, and the ability to balance multiple priorities are essential; Spanish language

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in personal injury case management (preferred)
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
  • Genuine customer service mindset, empathetic, patient, and proud to make clients feel cared for
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: you can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • A proactive mindset: you spot problems before they become emergencies
  • A collaborative team player who works well across departments, including comfort coordinating with medical providers and insurance adjusters
  • Comfort reading and organizing medical records and bills is a plus
  • Must be flexible and comfortable working extended hours as needed to support litigation deadlines, trial schedules, and case demands
  • This is a full time, on site role. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with overtime required when necessary to meet litigation deadlines, trial schedules, and case demands.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Client Support: Serve as a warm, reliable point of contact for clients throughout their case
  • Deliver Exceptional Client Support: Complete client introductions and maintain regular check ins on treatment and recovery
  • Deliver Exceptional Client Support: Respond to client questions and concerns promptly and with empathy
  • Deliver Exceptional Client Support: Coordinate reassignment communications and follow up with non responsive clients to keep them engaged in their treatment and case
  • Deliver Exceptional Client Support: Facilitate smooth communication between attorneys and clients
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Monitor clients' medical treatment, flag gaps in care, and track progress toward maximum medical improvement
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Order, follow up on, and organize medical records and billing from providers
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Identify and track all applicable insurance coverage, including at fault/liability, UM/UIM, MedPay, and health, along with carriers, claim numbers, adjusters, and policy limits
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Negotiate with medical providers to help maximize the client's net recovery
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Track medical and health insurance liens, including Medicare and Medi Cal where applicable, and letters of protection, and support timely resolution
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Coordinate vehicle repairs and property damage resolution for auto accident clients
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Assemble demand packages and track demand and settlement deadlines
  • Manage Treatment, Records & Insurance: Prepare the client's settlement breakdown of costs, expenses, and liens once a case settles
  • Keep Cases Moving: Attend attorney meetings and capture key decisions, action items, and deadlines
  • Keep Cases Moving: Keep case blueprints and the case management tracker current with case status, treatment status, and progress
  • Keep Cases Moving: Monitor critical deadlines, including the Statute of Limitations, UM/UIM demand deadlines, and demand/settlement deadlines; track court deadlines for cases in litigation
  • Keep Cases Moving: Keep cases advancing from intake through treatment, demand, and settlement, following up so nothing stalls

Job description

As a Personal Injury Case Manager, you'll be the steady, reassuring point of contact who guides injured clients through what is often a stressful and unfamiliar process while keeping their cases organized and moving. Exceptional client support is at the heart of this role: you'll check in on clients' recovery, keep them informed, and make sure they feel genuinely cared for from intake through settlement. Alongside that, you'll track high stakes deadlines, coordinate medical treatment and records, manage insurance, repairs, and keep attorneys aligned. What You’ll Do
