We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney Manager to lead and support our Washington, DC personal injury team.
Position Overview:
This is a non-case-handling leadership role for a seasoned attorney with a deep understanding of personal injury law. The Personal Injury Attorney Manager will not represent clients or litigate cases, but will instead provide strategic guidance, client consultation support, and personnel management for the personal injury division. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of legal service, team productivity, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of personal injury attorneys and support staff operating in both pre-litigation and litigation environments
- Advise attorneys on legal strategy and client engagement without directly handling cases
- Oversee and conduct initial consultations with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with firm expectations and client needs
- Provide high-level support in client interactions, including updates, status meetings, and problem-solving when issues arise
- Monitor case workflow, performance metrics, and attorney development
- Support recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance reviews for the PI team
- Collaborate with firm leadership to improve operational efficiency and maintain a high standard of representation
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and client-focused team culture
Qualifications:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
- Minimum 5 years of experience in personal injury law, with significant exposure to both pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Demonstrated success in managing attorneys and legal teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong client management and consultation experience
- High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive client issues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required
