Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Connecticut license in good standing.

• Experience with depositions, motions, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Solid understanding of personal injury litigation including liability, damages, and case valuation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, counsel, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proactive, strategic, results-oriented approach to case management.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our expanding Connecticut practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling personal injury matters and the ability to independently manage cases throughout the litigation process. This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of a personal injury caseload, develop case strategy, advocate for clients, and work collaboratively with a team of experienced attorneys and legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of personal injury matters from case evaluation and initiation through resolution.


• Develop and execute case strategies based on the facts, legal issues, and objectives of each matter.


• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.


• Take and defend depositions and represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.


• Negotiate with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties to advance cases and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.


• Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, providing updates regarding case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.


• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff to efficiently manage cases and ensure timely progression of matters.


• Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and other evidence to assess case value and develop effective litigation strategies.


• Stay current on developments in personal injury law, court procedures, and relevant legal trends.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


• Active license to practice law in Connecticut, in good standing.


• 5+ years of experience practicing law, with significant experience handling personal injury matters preferred.


• Demonstrated experience independently managing a personal injury caseload.


• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.


• Experience with depositions, motion practice, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.


• Strong understanding of personal injury litigation, including liability, damages, insurance coverage, and case valuation.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and colleagues.


• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• A proactive, strategic, and results-oriented approach to case management and client representation.

Compensation Range:

$150,000 - $200,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
