Job summary

Well&Nest is seeking an Associate Attorney for a national plaintiffs' litigation firm. You will handle plaintiff-side civil cases (Torts, personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability) in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The role requires travel and office presence as part of a close-knit team.

• Background in plaintiff-side personal injury and related areas such as medical malpractice or product liability.

• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Our client, a national plaintiffs' litigation firm representing individuals and families harmed by corporate wrongdoing, is currently seeking associate attorneys with a demonstrated commitment to plaintiff-side civil litigation. Torts, personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability are preferred.

Their work is fast-paced, high-stakes, and emotionally compelling. They work closely with clients navigating devastating diagnoses and tragic losses, and they pride themselves on being relentless advocates in and out of the courtroom. This is a full-time in-office position with frequent travel.

As an Associate Attorney, you will quickly become responsible for handling cases. Case management responsibilities include written discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and trial work as a second chair. Prior experience with these tasks is appreciated but not required.

Their work involves significant client contact, bringing them into families' lives during the most stressful time of their lives. Empathy and the ability to build rapport with people from varied backgrounds are keys to success in this position. Because of this, frequent travel is required.

Qualifications:

• Background in plaintiff-side personal injury; other desirable experience areas include, but are not limited to, medical malpractice and product liability;
• A valid J.D. from an ABA-accredited institution and admission to the bar of California;
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities;
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships;
• Ability to work as an individual and as a part of a team on behalf of injured clients;
