Responsibilities

  • Handle a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
  • Extensive client interaction from intake through case resolution.
  • Prepare demands and negotiate resolutions for clients.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
  • Research, interpret and apply legal principles in motions and litigation.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings on injury and malpractice cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex medical negligence matters.
  • Involve in all phases of client representation from intake to case resolution.

This role is for our client, an award winning law firm based in Rhode Island.

Job Summary

Our client, a Rhode Island law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing team. This leader will play a key role and will set the direction for our team-oriented culture as we strive to exceed our clients’ expectations by providing extraordinary legal care.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Personally handle a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases
  • Extensive client interaction , from intake through case resolution
  • Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients
  • Attend and advocate for clients at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial
  • Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings relating to the evaluation and advancement of injury and malpractice cases
  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases
  • Active involvement in all phases of client representation from intake, initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and case resolution

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday in Providence office. Opportunity for hybrid schedule once fully onboarded.
  • Periodic night and weekend availability
Experience:
  • Personal injury law: 5+ years (Required)
