Job summary

Collins Law, LLC, a personal injury law firm based in Hoover, Alabama, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to manage personal injury cases from onboarding through trial preparation, focusing on litigation strategy, client communication, and case resolution.

The ideal candidate holds a JD from an accredited law school, is an active Alabama State Bar member in good standing, and has at least 2 years of personal injury experience with strong writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.
Active member of the Alabama State Bar in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.
Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.

Responsibilities

Conduct client onboarding meetings and guide the case lifecycle.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, demand packages, and settlement documents.
Perform legal research and assist in developing case strategies.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and trial preparation.
Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
Coordinate medical treatment, order records, and assess case evidence.
Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, courts, and medical providers.
Prepare insurance claims and assist with settlement negotiations.
