Orion Placement seeks a Virginia-licensed Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join a respected plaintiff-side practice in Virginia. You will manage an active PI caseload from intake to resolution and work with experienced trial attorneys.

The role offers mentorship, meaningful cases, and growth opportunities with a competitive compensation package. On-site in Fairfax or Virginia Beach, you will collaborate with staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license required.
• 1+ year of personal injury attorney experience.
• Ideal experience level is 1 to 6 years as an associate attorney.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Courtroom or deposition experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
• Manage an active caseload involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and other injury claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Negotiate with insurance companies to obtain favorable settlements.
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide trusted legal guidance throughout the case.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Appear in Virginia courts as needed and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

Location

Full-time, on-site opportunity in either Fairfax, Virginia or Virginia Beach, Virginia, offering the chance to work closely with an experienced litigation team while serving clients throughout Virginia.

Note

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have at least 1 year of plaintiff or defense personal injury litigation experience as an attorney. This opportunity is intended for associates with approximately 1 to 6 years of experience.
