Position Overview

The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney through Senior Attorney (open to candidates with 1 year of experience up to 20+ years) to join its Richmond, VA office. The team is open to attorneys coming from personal injury, prosecutor’s offices, or trial-heavy backgrounds, including those looking to transition into civil litigation.

This role offers flexibility, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within a well-structured personal injury practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a plaintiff-side personal injury caseload, including pre‑litigation and/or litigation matters
• Handle case strategy, discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, and trials as applicable
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Maintain strong organization and case progression in line with firm standards

Experience & Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in Virginia (or ability to become licensed)
• Open to experience levels ranging from 1 year to 20+ years
• Backgrounds considered include:
• Personal injury (pre‑litigation and/or litigation)
• Prosecutor or government litigation
• Trial attorney experience highly valued
• Strong work ethic, coachability, and alignment with firm culture
• Desire to grow long‑term within a team‑oriented firm

Caseload

• Average target caseload: 100–125 cases
• Firm is willing to provide up to 3 months of training, depending on experience level
• Attorney fee/bonus structure: DOE
• Compensation structure is flexible and aligned with experience and performance

Schedule & Work Arrangement

• In-office required for the first 90 days
• Flexibility available for the right candidate
