Description du poste

This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. It includes the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families, such as one‑on‑one counseling, briefings and presentations, referrals to external resources, and coordination with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program meets installation needs. The counselor assists service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences, develops informational financial materials, coordinates and publicizes a wide variety of personal financial management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle (including arrival at first duty station, pre‑ and post‑deployment, and other key life events), responds to requests for age‑appropriate classes, and effectively utilizes virtual counseling and electronic communication modes as authorized.

Responsibilities

• Provide full‑scope personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for deployments and extended absences.
• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver workshops and classes covering the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes when authorized.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership, participate in supervision, and share trend information.
• Participate in training, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years of experience or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish required if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier2 investigation.
• Pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Certification required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $58,440 – $93,500. The position may also be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life, and voluntary benefits.
