Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.
• May assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, wheelchair, bedpan, or toilet.
• Assists with household tasks directly related to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months experience in home care preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs.
• Ability to function in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, gender, disability, or financial condition.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
