Job summary

Visiting Angels of Olathe, KS is actively hiring Personal Caregivers to support seniors in Olathe and surrounding communities. You will provide companionship and assist with daily living in home settings.

A commitment to training: 10 mandatory courses, thorough background checks, and a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle are required. This is a non-medical caregiving role focused on safety, dignity, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years to apply.
• Minimum 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• CNA license a plus.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• Active phone for scheduling purposes.
• Must pass criminal background and DMV checks as well as drug screening.
• Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and reliable vehicle are required.
• Communicate effectively at all times with peers and supervisors.
• Self-directed/motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical support and companionship to senior clients.
• Perform personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Issue medication reminders and maintain medication schedule.
• Conduct grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping duties.
• Support the client's mobility needs by assisting with walking and transfers and other physical activities.
• Complete household errands and provide the client with transportation to and from appointments.
