Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific duties include:

• Reporting observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or manager and notifying immediately of incidents or accidents
• Driving safely, complying with traffic laws, and wearing a seat belt during travel
• Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers
• Helping with household tasks essential to the client's personal care

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• At least six months of home care experience preferred
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation

Skill Requirements

• Flexibility to work varying hours based on patient needs
• Ability to work independently in diverse home environments
• Effective communication, writing, and organizational skills
