Kadima at Harmony is looking to add a patient and caring Nurse Aide to join our team!
Our mission is to offer quality care to our residents and provide a loving, compassionate environment, attending to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
The purpose of this position is to provide quality nursing care under DPW Regulations to each resident, considering their unique mental and physical abilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Practice a resident-centered focus, creating an environment of compassion by respecting each resident's individuality.
- Take responsibility for personal actions, monitor performance to ensure quality care, and follow policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully, listen well, give and receive feedback, and help resolve conflicts.
- Be open to learning, celebrate community, and cooperate with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Administer and chart medications, ensure refills are ordered from the pharmacy.
- Obtain vital signs per medication protocol.
- Complete admission/discharge procedures as assigned.
- Assist with resident care as needed.
- Complete all documentation promptly, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and assessments.
- Be flexible and able to assume the med tech role when needed.
- Encourage teamwork and maintain a positive attitude.
- Keep the work area neat and clean.
- Possess knowledge of DPW Regulations 2600.
- Complete annual compliance and HIPAA training and adhere to the code of conduct.
- Complete mandatory training as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in healthcare, passing medications preferred.
- Successful completion of DPW Direct Care Training Program.
- Successful completion of the DPW Medication Administration Course.
- Maintain current competency in medication administration.
- Emotional stability to handle challenging residents professionally.
- Must be 21 years of age.
