Join our next paid Nurse Aide Training class offered at Passavant Community in Zelienople, PA.

This comprehensive training program designed to prepare you for the state certification exam will consist of five weeks of paid clinical and classroom training during the daylight shift (6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.) Monday-Thursday. On Fridays, Trainees will report to their home site (hours may vary). Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition to either a full-time or part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) position. Attendance is mandatory.

LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.

Participate in a Nurse Aide Trainee (NAT) education program, once the class room training is completed the NA Trainee provides assistance to professional nursing staff in the care of residents/patients through performance of routine direct and indirect resident/patient care activities, according to established policies and procedures. Maintains resident/patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality. Promotes resident/patient acceptance of treatment goals and responds promptly to overall resident/patient needs. The NA Trainee will be permitted to work in this capacity until passing the state competency examination.

This C.N.A. paid training class is expected to start July 2, 2025. Deadline to apply is June 11, 2025.


Qualifications

Nurse Aide Trainee qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Completion of the PA State Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent as determined by the PA Department of Education.
  • Must take and pass the NA competency test within 120 days from the date of hire into the Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Individuals without certification, hired to be nurse aides, must demonstrate eligibility to sit for the PA State approved Nurse Aide Training Program testing as well satisfactorily pass the test within 120 days of employment.
  • Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and using a touch screen for documentation required.
  • Ability to commit to full-time training and agreed upon work schedule.
