Job summary

Nutrafol is seeking an experienced hands-on personal care formulator to join the Formulation team, reporting to the Director of Personal Care R&D Formulation (Topicals). This role centers on bench formulation for scalp health and hair strand performance across leave-on and rinse-off products.

You will develop proprietary formulas, evaluate them against performance targets, and drive scale-up with contract manufacturers while leveraging Unilever capabilities to accelerate upstream formulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in cosmetic science, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on cosmetic/personal care formulation experience.
• Experience formulating across shampoos, conditioners, serums, and leave-on products.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize novel proprietary formulations for scalp and hair across leave-on formats and rinse-off formats.
• Translate briefs into technically sound formulation strategies with prototype iterations.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to scale up from pilot to production.
• Maintain formulation documentation and support claims substantiation with QA/RA and Regulatory.
