Job summary

Safe Harbor Home Care in the San Diego area is seeking compassionate Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers to provide non-medical assistance in clients' homes. You will help clients live safely and independently by assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meal prep, light housekeeping and transportation.

Caregivers ensure services are delivered with care, dignity, and respect while adhering to agency policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Clearance verified on Home Care Aide Registry.
• Current TB certificate.
• I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents.
• Completed LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement.
• Completed LIC 501 Personnel Record.
• Completed SOC 341A Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders.
• Minimum of five hours entry-level training prior to presence with client(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care.
• Support mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Provide incontinence care and toileting assistance.
• Remind and assist with medications.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and nutrition.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

Job Summary

• Mobility support, ambulation, transferring, and positioning
• Incontinence care and toileting assistance
• Reminders for self-administered medication
• Housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, and preparation
• Running errands, shopping, and providing transportation
• Offering companionship and emotional support

Caregivers ensure services are delivered with care, dignity, and respect while following agency policies, state regulations, and industry standards.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Qualifications include:

• 18 years of age or older
• Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide Registry
• Current Tuberculosis (TB) certificate
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents
• Completed “Criminal Record Statement” (LIC 508)
• Complete “Personnel Record” (LIC 501)
• Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A)
• Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level training prior to presence with client(s).
