Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate, personalized in-home care to individuals in need, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living areas, laundry, and meal preparation to create a comfortable and clean environment for clients.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and their families, actively engaging in conversations while offering emotional support and companionship.
• Accompany clients on outings, shopping trips, and appointments, ensuring their safety and security at all times.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other team members.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately. • Compassionate and empathetic nature, treating clients with dignity, respect, and kindness. • Reliable and punctual, demonstrating flexibility in work schedules to meet client needs. • Must undergo a background check
• Reliable transportation is necessary for client visits.
Job Conditions:
The ability to access clients' homes, which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible, are required. Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the client's condition and to perform client care/services. Required to bend, stoop, reach, and move clients. Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Part-time and full-time positions
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must have completed a minimum of 5 training videos, which includes an introduction to personal care services.
• Must comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Must understand and respect clients' including ethics and confidentiality of care.
• Ability to to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting
• Basic knowledge and understanding of PPE protocols and universal precautions.
• Must be able to understand, read, and write English. Dual language speaking is a plus.
