Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs.
3. Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate requests and note preferences; knowledge of diets and allergens as needed.
4. Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests are met.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills; remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
8. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
9. Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information to supervisor.
10. Ensure the dining area is properly set up before and after service; keep the area clean and meet sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
12. Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
