Job summary

Beloit Health System invites qualified Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistants to join NorthPointe Terrace. The position features a 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) with 40 hours per week and benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring safety, and supporting medication administration under RN supervision after required training. Collaboration with the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA program.
• Must have current IL CNA certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• CPR certification within 3 months.
• Must complete the required medication training course.
• Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.
• Works collaboratively with peers and all team members.
• Follows up promptly with appropriate staff, tenants, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living to support independence.
• Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse after training.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Conducts room checks, tenant rounds, and monitors environmental and safety hazards.
• Records incidents and reports to Director within 1 hour.
• Escorts tenants to dining room, assists with meals and dining area duties.

Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistant will assist residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need assistance with supportive, nursing, and personal care. The PCA/CNA is responsible to assist tenants with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents' independence and freedom of choice.

• Assures the provision of high-quality services needed and/or desired by tenants and their families.
• Attains and/or maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
• Maintains high level of involvement/participation in all tenant activities. Provides Activity Coordinator and Director with ongoing feedback/suggestions regarding the activity program.
• Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse and after completion of approved medication course.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living for tenants
• Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living
• Conducts room checks and tenant rounds/checks and monitors for environmental and safety hazards.
• Records incidents, errors, and accidents. Reports such occurrences to Director within 1 hour.
