Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Personal Care Attendant will assist in the care of residents by carrying out certain activities of daily living, recreational, dietary, and light housekeeping services in carefully selected situations.
Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the needs of the individuals served.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a training program that meets standards set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Aging; OR experience listed below preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of Nurse Aide experience, including the ability to demonstrate competency in skill areas, may be substituted for training program listed above.
Moderate Work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10-33% of shift), and/or up to 10lbs. of force frequently (approx 33-66% of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects (i.e., occasional patient transfers). Position involves bending, reaching, and stooping (occasionally in strained position) throughout shift. Ability to transport self throughout facility is required.
