Allied Services in Scranton, PA is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to assist residents with their daily living activities, dietary needs, and light housekeeping. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a training program.
Candidates should have excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, demonstrate maturity, and be cleared by the PA State Police. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs. and the ability to transport oneself around the facility.
Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Personal Care Attendant will assist in the care of residents by carrying out certain activities of daily living, recreational, dietary, and light housekeeping services in carefully selected situations. Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the needs of the individuals served. Type of supervision exercised: none. Jobs reporting to this position: none.
Moderate Work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10-33% of shift), and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently (approx 33-66% of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects (i.e., occasional patient transfers). Position involves bending, reaching, and stooping (occasionally in strained position) throughout shift. Ability to transport self throughout facility is required.
