Job summary

My Friends Pediatric Day Healthcare Center in San Jose, CA is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support medically fragile children with direct patient care. You will assist with feeding, diaper changes, positioning, and transfers, enabling participation in activities both independent and group-based.

The role offers a flexible schedule with primary shifts on Mon/Wed/Thu and occasional weekend shifts, plus bi-weekly pay and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, walk, bend, and reach as needed to perform patient care and transfers.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Caregiving experience preferred.

• Provide direct patient care including oral feedings, diaper changes, positioning, transfers, and assisting patients in participating in independent and group activities.

About the Role:

As a PCA, you will provide direct patient care including, but not limited to:

• Oral feedings, diaper changes, positioning, transfers, and assisting clients in participating in independent and group activities
• Work primarily Monday/Wednesday/Thursdays 10:30am-7pm or 1pm-7pm and one-two weekend shifts per month. Shift times vary.

• Hourly rate: $18.00-$19.00 depending on experience
