Job summary

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to provide compassionate, one-on-one in-home support for clients across central Vermont. The role emphasizes independence, dignity, and quality of life, with a schedule that includes per diem and part-time opportunities.

You'll help with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, and meaningful companionship while following each client's Plan of Care and reporting changes promptly to

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care in home.

• Follow Plan of Care and communicate changes to supervisor.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.

What You'll Bring

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Knowledge of proper body mechanics, safe use of mechanical and adaptive equipment, and infection control practices, including universal precautions
• The ability to provide emotional support and foster positive social interactions with clients and their families
• Experience assisting with bathing, dressing, ambulation, transfers, self-administered medications, and other personal care needs outlined in a Plan of Care
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and occasional schedule adjustments in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of and commitment to emergency reporting procedures
• A compassionate, dependable, and client-focused approach to care

Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working with the elderly and/or adults with disabilities preferred.
• Valid Vermont driver’s license.
