Job summary

Symphony Manor in Baltimore, MD, part of Sonida Senior Living, is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to support residents with daily living activities. You will assist with medication, meals, mobility, and personal care while promoting independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years caregiving experience required
• Experience caring for older adults with cognitive needs preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Must be able to pass background checks and provide references

Responsibilities

• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living, medication, treatments, and encourage self-care and independence
• Escort residents within and outside the building as needed
• Assist with setting up, serving meals and cleaning up afterwards
• May assist in planning and executing resident activities
• Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times

Personal Care Attendant Responsibilities Include

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, assistance with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence
• Escorts residents both within the building and outside, as needed
• Assists with setting up, serving meals and cleaning up afterwards
• May assist with the planning and executing of activities for residents on a regularly scheduled basis
• Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times
  

Qualifications

• Enjoy providing exceptional customer service and care to our senior residents
• Appreciate the value of being a dependable & responsible member of greater team
• Caregiving experience is required ( 2 year minimum)
• Experience caring for older adults with physical or cognitive support needs preferred.
• Dementia/Alzheimer and other cognitive impairments experience is required
• CPR/First Aid certification is required
• Ability to safely assist with mobility and physical care tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and provide professional references.
