Job summary

Right at Home NW Ohio is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in their homes with daily living activities and compassionate care. You will provide personal care, companionship, and help with routine tasks to improve quality of life for those served.

The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and independence, with opportunities for schedule flexibility and ongoing training. This position is ideal for caregivers seeking meaningful, community-based work in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving the client throughout their home.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):
