Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to support clients across Springfield and surrounding towns. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem options with flexible morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• PCA/CNA/HHA certification is required or preferred.
• Six months of healthcare experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Strong communication and caregiving skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Support mobility and range-of-motion exercises; assist with transfers.
• Provide medication reminders and communicate concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• PCA, CNA or HHA certification
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Valid driver’s license and your own transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
