Right at Home Tolland in the Danielson, CT area is seeking Personal Care Assistants to cover weekend hours and deliver compassionate in‑home care. You will assist with daily living activities, support clients in your community, and enjoy competitive pay with weekly payroll.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of PCA experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. PPE is provided and ongoing training opportunities are available to grow your skills.

Competenze

• Six months of PCA experience in health care (home or facility).
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Weekend availability to cover both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for work.
• Current CPR certificate is recommended.

Mansioni

• Assist with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, grooming).
• Provide mobility assistance and transfers as needed.
• Assist with meals and light housekeeping tasks.
• Support safety and well‑being of clients; document care provided.

You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

You are able to perform other assigned activities for a specific patient, which includes but is not limited to:

• Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with self-administered simple urine tests for sugar acetone or albumin (may not interpret results)
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Measuring intake and output

Must Haves:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
• Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)
• Experience caring for someone that has dementia
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work
