Job summary

Newport Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Christiana, PA seeks enthusiastic Personal Care Assistants to join our team on a PRN basis. Shifts available 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am for 1:1 resident interaction and supportive care.

Required are experience in healthcare and long-term care, plus a compassionate attitude, strong communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a skilled nursing setting. Benefits include training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have long term care experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required in skilled nursing.

Responsibilities

• Helps residents maintain highest level of functioning by presenting activity programs.
• Invites and encourages resident participation and assists in transporting.
• Engages residents in maintaining maximum daily living functions.
• Ensures resident safety at all times.
• Participates in Quality Assurance programs and facility committees.

• Have experience working in healthcare
• Long-term care experience preferred

The responsibilities & duties

• Helps resident maintain their highest level of functioning by presenting appropriate activity programs according to resident’s physical capacity, cognitive ability and interest
• Invites and encourages resident participation and assists in transporting
• Engages individual resident in maintaining maximum daily Living Functions
• Assures the safety of individual resident
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and facility committees/programs
