Job summary

Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking a Personal Care Assistant for Howe Elementary School. This is a full-time, on-site, permanent role in a Life Skills and Autistic Support classroom, with a Monday–Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Starting wages are $16.69 or $16.79 per hour, approx. $22,197–$22,330 annually for new hires, with a salaried structure paid across 24 pay periods on a September–August cycle. 190 days yearly; benefits begin after a 90-day probation.

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
• Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study, or an Associate degree or higher.
• Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, with continuing education credit hours during subsequent years.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in Life Skills and Autistic Support classrooms.
• Work on-site with students during the school day, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care as required.

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Personal Care Assistant at Howe Elementary School.

This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position working directly with students with special needs in a Life Skills and Autistic Support classroom.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM

190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off)
Rates:
Starting wages are either $16.69 per hour (approx. $22,197 annual) or $16.79 per hour (approx. $22,330 annual), for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience.

This is a salaried position with a fixed per pay amount disbursed over 24 pays on a September through August cycle.

The salary for the 2026-2027 school year will be prorated based on start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be eligible for special education support positions, applicants must meetthe following criteria:
Be a high school graduate or possess a GED,
AND
