Job summary

Vancrest of Urbana, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our care team in Ohio. The role focuses on delivering compassionate personal care to residents, with emphasis on timely and quality nursing assistance and support to the charge nurse.

Wages start at $15 per hour and vary by experience; sign-on bonuses of $4,000 for full-time and $2,000 for part-time are offered. Applicants must be 18+ and pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Read and write English language proficiency required.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring residents' personal care needs are provided with quality, compassion and timeliness.
• Delivering nursing care and reporting to the charge nurse as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and pleasant living environment for residents.
• Meeting residents' nutritional needs per care plan and reporting to director.
• Performing related tasks as assigned.
• Ensuring residents' medication needs are met.

Job description

We currently have the following open shifts:

PT 1st 5am-1pm, every other Fri-Sun

PT 2nd 5pm-9pm, 3 days a week, includes every other weekend

PT 3rd 9pm-5am, 2 days, every other Friday and Monday

Wages start at $15 and go up depending on experience and is determined by the hiring manager at an interview.

Must be 18 years or older

FT - $4,000

Patient Care Assistant (PCA)

The job responsibilities of the PCA include:

• Ensuring that residents' personal care needs are provided for with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Ensuring that residents' medical needs are addressed through the delivery of quality nursing care and reporting to charge nurse.
• Maintaining a physical environment in a clean, safe and pleasant manner.
• Ensuring that nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with established care plan and reporting to appropriate director
• Performing other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Ensuring residents' medication needs are met.

Requirements of PCA:

• Move (sit, stand, bend and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Assist with the evacuation of residents.
• Read/write English language
• Pass a background check and drug test
• STNA not required, but preferred.
