Job summary

Courtyard Rehabilitation in Florida seeks a dedicated Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to assist residents with ADLs and basic healthcare tasks in a faith-based setting.

You will document vital signs, help with transfers, and support mobility while maintaining dignity and safety. Strong interpersonal skills a must; training provided to meet preservice requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an 8-hour preservice training course (5 hours classroom, 3 hours supervised simulation).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and incontinence care.
• Take and document vital signs as directed.
• Turn and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Help with one-person transfers and mobility.
• Escort residents to meals and provide hydration and snacks on schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident rooms and shared spaces.
• Monitor resident status and report changes to Nurse or Administrator.
• Make beds and perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team.

What You Will Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and incontinence care
• Take and document vital signs as directed
• Turn and reposition residents in bed to prevent skin breakdown
• Help with one-person transfers and mobility support
• Escort or remind residents to meals, pass hydration and snacks at designated times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident rooms and shared spaces
• Monitor resident status and report changes or incidents to the Nurse or Administrator
• Make beds
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team
