Job summary

Highland Hills Retirement Village is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

As a PCA, you will assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring dignity, comfort, and a high quality of life in a warm, supportive environment. Evening shift hours are 3pm–11pm on weekdays and 7pm–7am on weekends (every other weekend). This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certification as a PCA or CNA preferred.
• Experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their well-being.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper hydration.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behavior, or needs to nursing staff.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Follow care plans and work with nurses, caregivers, and other staff.
• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or relevant experience in caregiving preferred.
• Previous experience in a senior living, assisted living, or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening as required.
