Job summary

A local caregiving franchise is seeking caregivers to provide personal care services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caring for the elderly and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and observing clients' health. Competitive pay ranges between $13.00-$15.00 with bonuses, flexible scheduling, and a training program available.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Current TB Test.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant.
• Completion of a written Competency Evaluation.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed.

• This position does require 30-40 hours of basic care training.
• Reliable.

• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.
• MUST BE RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE WHEN COMMITTING TO WORK A SCHEDULE SHIFT!

Schedule

• Day/Night shifts
• Monday thru Friday.
• Weekends and Holidays

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Provides various personal care and related paraprofessional services in accordance with an established plan of care. Provides for the personal needs and comfort of patients in their homes.
• Assist with clients’ daily activities.
• Strong communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively with client as well as family members.
• Provide stand by assistance to clients in situations such as helping with bathing, dressing, toileting and other basic activities of life.
• Observing the client's day to day physical and mental health.
• Document care provided and report any concerns per agency policy
