Job summary

Right at Home Kingwood is looking for PRN Personal Care Aides to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the Houston area. You’ll work flexible shifts, match schedules to your availability, and make a difference through compassionate caregiving.

Training is provided, PPE is supplied, and you’ll join a supportive team. Must have a high school degree or GED, two years of PCA experience, English proficiency, reliable transportation, and a caring, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in health care.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home.

Responsibilities

• PRN caregiving on one-off, last-minute, or temporary schedules.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving).
• Prepare meals and assist in the kitchen.
• Provide care with PPE and travel between client homes.

Education

We're looking for PRN Caregivers who want to work one-off, last-minute, or temporary schedules. You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

Must Haves:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Two years experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home
