Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Garden Grove, CA is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs. You will assist with daily activities, hygiene, transfers, and provide companionship.

This role offers competitive pay ($18-$20/hr), weekly pay, and benefits including health/dental/vision, 401(k), HSA and PTO. State-licensure, BLS, and clear communication with families are expected.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program.
• One year relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS Card
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Coordinate and facilitate services between home, school, local health agencies, and other resources
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in English may be required
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support essential to health
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client
• Assists client in developing independent self-care skills such as toileting and clothing routines
• Appropriately reports changes in client status or as directed by care plan
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Responsibilities:

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client’s health
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
