Job summary

Interim HealthCare Rochester is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors at home in Rochester, MN. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor wellbeing, and provide companionship, focusing on safety and comfort. The role offers a part-time schedule, 1:1 client ratios, and opportunities for online training and CEUs. Requirements include CNA or HHA certification, CPR, a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and a caring, reliable communicator who can lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• CNA or HHA certification is required or preferred.
• Six months of healthcare experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping and companionship.
• Assist with mobility, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition.
• Maintain a safe home environment and encourage client activities.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• CNA License or HHA Certificate
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid MNdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
