Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Loudoun County, Virginia seeks a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to provide in-home care for seniors, assisting with daily living activities and safety. This role supports independent living and enhances quality of life.

The position offers flexible scheduling, 1:1 client ratios, and online training through HealthStream to grow your skills. Must have Virginia PCA registration and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Virginia PCA registration.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• First Aid / CPR or BLS certification
• Valid Virginia driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways and participate in activities that bring clients joy

Role Overview

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship

Must-Haves

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Personal Care Assistant (PCA) registration in Virginia
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• First Aid / CPR or BLS certification
• Valid Virginia driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
