Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is hiring Home Health PCAs & CNAs to provide one-to-one care in patients' homes in Montpelier, VA and surrounding areas. This role emphasizes compassionate caregiving, independence, and strong patient relationships.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour with benefits after 60 days of full-time service, plus options for dental/vision, 401K, and tuition discounts. Weekly pay, CEU training, and flexible schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Virginia Nursing Assistant Certification.
• CPR certification.
• Covid-19 vaccination card.
• Valid VA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate nature and good communicator; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors in their homes and assist with daily activities (bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, nutrition).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, and document changes.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow the patient’s care plan.
• Observe patient and inform supervisor of any need to adjust care, medication or equipment.

As a Home Care PCA or CNA, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Home Care Personal Care Assistants & Certified Nursing Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Virginia
• CPR certification
