Job summary

Interim HealthCare of NE Florida in Ormond Beach is seeking a part-time Home Health Aide/Caregiver to help seniors live safely at home. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility, while building trust and companionship.

Earn $19-22 per hour, set your own schedule, with 1:1 client ratios and opportunities for online training and CEUs. CNA/HHA certification and CPR are preferred, plus valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• CNA License or HHA Certificate required or preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• CPR certification required or encouraged.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Home Health Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• CNA License or HHA Certificate
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
