Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Mobile, AL is hiring a Personal Care Aide to help seniors live independently. You will follow care plans, assist with bathing, dressing, meal prep, and light housekeeping, while reporting changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be a Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Pre-employment physical examination/PPD prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
• Maintain confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be flexible to department needs.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations.
• Abide by all policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
