Requirements

• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team and get along with co-workers
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are subject to change based on business needs
• High school diploma, high school equivalency, or current high school attendance
• At least 18 years of age
• Successful passing of background investigation according to company policy

Job Description

Under immediate supervision, provides exceptional customer service involving receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Following established policies in accordance with the bank and supervisor’s guidance
2. Achieving monthly new account production targets as assigned by upper management
3. Processing deposits and payouts accurately, recording all transactions, and balancing daily operations
4. Receiving cash and checks, verifying amounts, and checking endorsements
5. Examining cash to prevent counterfeit checks and identification fraud
6. Entering transactions into the computer and issuing receipts
7. Selling and preparing money orders, cashier’s checks, bank-to-bank wires, savings bonds, travelers’ checks, and certificates of deposit
8. Processing Western Union wires and cash advances
9. Cross-selling bank services and products
10. Serving a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population
11. Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisors

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods depending on branch location
• Ability to operate a computer and office machinery in a high-volume, stressful, and noisy environment
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
