Job summary

Norway Savings Bank is seeking an experienced Personal Banker at our Norway branch to grow relationships, listen to customers, and connect them with banking solutions that fit their lives. You will be a trusted in-branch and community presence.

The role involves handling transactions, supporting daily operations, and proactively promoting consumer lending and other bank products with warmth and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of banking experience with consumer lending
• High school diploma required; higher education or certifications preferred
• Strong knowledge of bank products and services
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, decisive, and customer-focused
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Ability to build and expand customer relationships

We’re seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our team as aPersonal Bankerat our Norway branch!

As a Personal Banker, you’ll build meaningful relationships with new and existing customers—listening, advising, and connecting them with financial solutions that truly fit their lives.

You’ll be a visible, trusted presence both in the branch and out in the community, confidently introducing customers to a full range of banking services, including consumer and home equity lending.

Along the way, you’ll support daily branch operations, handle transactions, and help resolve customer needs with professionalism, warmth, and a problem-solving mindset.

This is a people-first role for someone who thrives on connection.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in banking with previous involvement in consumer lending
• High school diploma required with post high school education, certification and/or college degree preferred, or commensurate work experience
• Superior knowledge of Bank products and services
• Strong interpersonal skills including but not limited to being a good listener with an acute ability to remain pro-active and decisive
• Top-notch written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional internal and external customer service with demonstrated relationship-building skills
• Proven successes with maintaining, developing and expanding customer relationships
• Fluency in Microsoft Suite with a preferred aptitude in Integrated Teller and CRM software
• Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Self-motivated and driven with exemplary engagement
• Willingness to accept direction/instruction and work well within a team of professionals

Pay: Position starts at $22.00 per hour with flexibility commensurate with experience.

Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards.

Physical effort required; lifting up to 35 lbs.; reaching, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling; standing for extended periods of time; freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of materials and supplies.
