Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Columbus, IN is seeking a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4-8 week onboarding program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. The focus is on sales development and relationship building through deposits, loans, fee-based services and customer retention.

The role emphasizes consultative service, partnering with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment teams to deliver holistic financial solutions. Training may require travel.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience with transferable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Sales activities to acquire new customers and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Understanding of Retail policies and procedures for sound decisions.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and suggest suitable solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to the existing customer base and engage in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners for referrals.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; drive year-over-year revenue.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and trust.
• Follow policies and protect confidential information.
• Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application to closing.
• Assist in opening/closing Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
• Stay updated on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.
